These signs dot the landscape in East Austin, indicative of rapid gentrification and sudden unaffordable housing due to rising property tax rates. Is this a reoccurring theme in low income, socioeconomically depressed areas that suddenly become desirable and/or is it inherently racist because these areas happen to be mostly occupied minorities? I guess people will try to make a buck any way they can, but I’m curious what the people intentions are behind posting the signs and generally disturbed by their omnipresence.
